Paint and Bullets Online Poker Reference - Main page Hand Rankings
The showdown is the point of a hand where all betting has been finished. Each player's cards have been turned over to reveal the player's hand. The most basic question that people may have about poker is about "What hand beats what?" For those who have thrown out that reference card from your deck of cards, these hands will be listed in order from highest rank to lowest rank.
1. Royal Flush - Is a straight flush ace high (from 10 to ace in a matching suit).
2. Straight Flush - Five consecutive cards in the same suit.
3. Four-of-a-kind - Four cards of identical value.
4. Full house - Three-of-a-kind, plus two of a kind.
5. FLUSH - Any five cards of the same suit. In the case of another Flush being drawn by another player, the hand with the highest card in the Flush will win.
6. Straight - Five consecutive cards, suits do not need to be suited.
7. Three-of-a-kind - Three cards of identical value.
8. Two pair - Two separate sets of two cards with identical value.
9. One Pair- Two cards of identical value.
10. High Cards - the hand with the highest ranked card would win in the event that no body had a pair or better. If two or more hands have the same high card then the next highest cards in those hands would win.
